Setting up your BigQuery warehouse

To set up a connection to BigQuery:

  1. Click the Data icon on the left panel.
  2. Click Connections. In the Connections section, click +New Connection. A popup will appear that displays all the data source types that your NetSpring application can ingest.
  3. Browse through the connection types and click BigQuery.
  4. Configure the fields that are listed below:

The fields are listed below:

FieldDescription
Project IDID of the project that you want to connect. Use the same project in which the Service Account and the Role were created. You can also find this information in the JSON file downloaded in the previous step. Open the file and copy the value in the project_id field.
Service Account EmailEmail address of the service account that was created in the previous step. You can also find this information in the JSON file downloaded in the previous step. Open the file and copy the value in the client_email field.
Service Account Key JSONCopy the entire content of the downloaded JSON file and paste it in the text box provided.

Following are examples of the fields you will need to fill out while creating a BigQuery connection in NetSpring.

Project ID​

For this field, paste the value corresponding to the Project ID field in your JSON file.

Example: stately-lodge-3613456

Service Account Email​

For this field, paste the email address corresponding to the Service Account Email field in your JSON file.

Example: netspring-byow@stately-lodge-3613456.iam.gserviceaccount.com

Service Account Key JSON​

For this field, paste the entire content corresponding to the Private Key field in your JSON file.

  1. Click the refresh icon next to Health to test the connection's configuration. If the icon turns green, you are good to go.
  2. Click Save to save the connection.
